Yasser Mohamed Gadallah, Professor of Economics, Dean of National Institute for Intellectual Property and Director of Sino-Egyptian Research Center, Helwan University, Cairo, Egypt. He earned Bachelor of International Economics, Helwan University, Licentiate of Law, Cairo University, Master degree and Ph.D. in International Economics (Intellectual Property: Patents). In the past, He was a Deputy Director of Foreign Trade Center. Helwan University (2003-2005), Associate Professor of Economics (2008-2013), Assistant Professor of Economics (2003-2008), Director of Quality Assurance Unit (2006-2007), Director of Sino-Egyptian Research Center (2008-2009), Consultant of strategic planning at Ministry of Higher Education., Egypt, 2006-2010; Consultant of Intellectual Property Economics at Information Decision Support Cabinet (2008-2010), League of Arab States, 2010-2012. He appointed as Director of Strategic Planning Unit and Policy Support, Ministry of Higher Education from 2014 to 2015. Helwan University granted him an Excellence Award for Junior Researchers in Economics and Law in 2011, Marquis Who’s Who Encyclopedia in USA has selected him for inclusion in Who’s Who in the World 2012 (29th Edition).
He got grants from WIPO in Switzerland, Ford Foundation in USA and scholarships at Max-Planck Institute for Intellectual Property, Competition & Tax Law, Munich (2005-2008 and 2010). Also he got scholarship at the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the Korean Educational Development Institute (KEDI), Seoul, Republic of Korea, 2010. He has more than fifteen published paper at the international and national levels in economics, labour market, higher education and intellectual property. He participated in different research projects funded by World Bank, Organization of Economic Cooperation Development OECD, League of Arab States LAS and European Training Foundation ETF. Recently, he is working in WIPO-SMEs project on Intellectual Property Rights funded by WIPO, Switzerland. He visited many countries such as: United States of America, United Kingdom, Switzerland, France, Germany, Netherlands, Arab United Emirates, Brazil, Argentina, Morocco, Lithuania, Macedonia, Turkey, Italy, South Korea, China, Greece, Czech Republic, Jordan, Spain, Estonia and Lebanon.
