Estelle Derclaye is Professor of Intellectual Property Law at the University of Nottingham. She is the author and editor of several books and articles in the field of IP law and has done expert work for the UK Intellectual Property Office, the European Commission and national and foreign law firms. Her main areas of research are copyright and designs, the protection of databases, IP overlaps, IP and climate change, and IP and well-being. She is a member of the European Copyright Society (www.europeancopyrightsociety.org), a group of academics aiming to influence policy-making.
